Mr. Monje advocates for, represents and advises shareholders, investors, issuers, and directors and officers in high stakes securities and commercial matters. Leveraging his background in bet-the-company public mergers & acquisitions, litigation, and regulatory investigations, Mr. Monje develops his strategy with the financial objectives of his clients at the forefront.

 

Mr. Monje has represented and advised clients on corporate and securities matters, including mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, litigation, and regulatory compliance and investigations. Most often, Mr. Monje is engaged to act as general counsel where he then leverages his network of premier legal practioners and subject matter experts to build the most knowledgeable and cost-effective team for his clients.​

 

Mr. Monje is a Partner and serves as Chief Legal Officer of 10X Capital, an investment firm aligning Wall Street & Silicon Valley by bringing institutional capital to high growth ventures in private & public markets, via venture capital, capital markets, SPACs, as well as its affiliated companies. Mr. Monje previously was Chief Legal Officer of a Miami-based investment firm and consultancy focused on SPACs. Prior to going in house, Mr. Monje worked with a large Florida law firm handling commercial and securities litigation matters.

 

Mr. Monje also has had the unique experience of serving as Chairman of the Board of a public company listed on NASDAQ, giving him unique insights into matters involving corporate governance and fiduciary duties.

Mr. Monje began his career in the financial services industry, first as a registered representative for powerhouse broker-dealer Morgan Stanley, and then on the sales & trading team at Gabelli & Company, the firm of legendary value investor, Mario Gabelli.

Mr. Monje earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Miami School of Law, and M.B.A from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. ​
